Re: Exciting Purchases

That is indeed a very fine iron. We bought a Freeview box so that Bethany can watch her favourite TV upstairs when she calls. She seems to like it very much, so that's kind of exciting. We also bought the Millieraptor money box for MIllie and we were very pleased with it. Not quite as exciting as an...

Re: Campaign and adventure idea

It's a fine start, but adventures need to be more specific on the detail, so lots of writing to do yet!

Secret Tunnels Tour 8th August 2010

We're back from the mysterious disused tunnels of the Manchester & Salford Junction Canal. This image shows one of the towers built on the canal basin bed. Its function is unknown.

Re: Broadband speeds

Would you believe I just got an e-mail alert for a post on page 1 of this thread?

Is that a record for the slowest, snail-pace e-mail ever?

Re: Education School Buildings - Government Funding

Wow, that's quite a list of cuts. Not a happy situation for those involved.

Does compensation get paid for cancelled contracts, or have the projects largely not been allocated yet?

Re: Apple iPhone

I shall wait and see what the advantages of Sue's upgrade is first. The if I like what I see I shall upgrade. When it gets to version 4.01 perhaps and the bugs are ironed out!

Re: Apple iPhone

That's jumping to conclusions - she did this all by herself! A very capable computer-literate Mum she is! Restore from a backup was done, but clearly failed. Sadly the old computer could not be de-authorised as it failed....no access to any of the hard drive was possible. Still, not the end of the w...

Re: Apple iPhone

Sue has upgraded her iPhone to OS4 but isn't happy as it didn't save her music. Part of the problem was using a new computer. You can synch on up to 5 computers, but what happens as time goes by, computers die and get changed and you get to computer 6? It isn't possible to un-register a computer if ...

Re: Apple iPhone

The technology of the new iPhone is fantastic. In terms of aesthetic design the overall look is slightly less pleasing, but function will have to take priority for this one.

If you want them to dispplay properly in the forum, they should be no more than 800 pixels wide.
