Re: Logos
I certainly didn't know! There's a good argument for that being one of his masterpieces, just maybe not in the field he's most famous for.

Re: Zombieland
Delayed-action review time! Watched this a while back: I'm guessing it may not appeal to some zombie movie purists (it's almost a zombie comedy), but it does what it needs to do. That being stylish, mindless entertainment with zombies and some genre references thrown in.
and a half.

Re: iPhone / iTouch and iPad Application Reviews
I'll be keeping a closer eye on this thread now, although some of the more on-the-go apps aren't going to be as useful for the iPod Touch! Had a quick look through the App store today and there's an almost overwhelming amount of choice. I'm hoping I just had a mental lapse and failed to find the &qu...

I've just caught the results. Haha! Won't spoil it for anyone just in case, but I'm happy with those final standings.

Re: Phinally, a Phil proof phone
I see they labeled it as water and scratch resistant, not entirely "proof"... I'd love to know what their returns policy's like for this model!

Re: Formula 1 2010
Yeah, I think Hamilton has a "technical chance" of winning, because the likelihood of the top three failing to get any points and him coming in first are fairly slim. That said, that would be amazing to see.

Impact: Earth!
Hugely awesome tool that estimates the effect of a meteor impact based on the data about the asteroid, the ground it hits and how far away you are from the impact site. The destructive power of the airblast alone is crazy, but that's the last thing to hit...

Re: Mars Fanboy facts!
That's totally reminded me I need to put the Red Mars trilogy on my reading list.
Not sure about travel beyond that though, that Bill Bryson book's rammed home just how far it is to other solar systems.

Cases within cases! It's one of the most industrial-looking phone cases I've seen in a while, certainly a world away from Chrissie's sleeping bag.

Re: Formula 1 2010
I always forget that Sau Paulo has some fairly high crime levels, but hey, at least they had an armoured Merc to ram through the other traffic with. Apparently they've gotten a bit more cautious with taking care of the drivers: the BBC mentioned a similar incident there a few years ago. Looks like w...

Scanning electron micrograph photos
I hadn't noticed the huge number of macro nature photos on the Telegraph's site, but this particular gallery of insects caught my eye. They make the maggot in the first one look pretty formidable!

Those last two items you found are awesome, as ever!
Wouldn't like to try parking that Rolls-Royce though, the front looks like it'd be practically invisible from the driver's seat. But man, it does look so elegant.

Need to post this before I forget about it: rejected cartoons by Don Hertzfeldt.
Can't believe I've not seen his work before, he's done some more serious animated works which appear to have had a lot of attention, so they'll go on my list of things to watch.

Re: Photography News
I was reading a photo book about the blitz and it was amazingly destructive! It was also unnervingly random, no laser-guided bombs precisely targetting factories... just sling the lot out the plane when you reckon you're in the right spot. The photos are indeed poignant, matching them up perfectly ...
