"progressive" has to mean cutting edge or innovative, I guess.

For the individual, I would suggest progressive just means continual improvement and the lifting of one's standards of technique and vision.

Er, no, I found it very predictable, just like the tasting of the spaghetti for the first time - I knew excactly what he would do, and he did, but not even with much feeling. I think he was trying too hard and the whole thing wasn't relaxed enough.
