Abraham Darby Sports and Learning Community

I am currently working on Abraham Darby Sports and Learning Community project which is due for completion this year. It is a 1050 place Academy, 400 place Primary school and community Leisure Centre. The project is featured on The Shropshire Star website with a nice video. More photographs etc to fo...

Re: Broadband

I would not have bothered. I think I would have found the nearest coffee shop and gone there to use their free wifi once a day! Amazingly in Cornwall on a camp site my mobile internet was as fast as Manchester City Centre!

Re: Broadband

BBC article which shows the average Broadband speeds in the UK. It is interesting that Virgin Media has the best average in the list but is also the only company I know who relies on full optical cable delivery for their main distribution (although I think that they have some delivery over copper n...

Re: Apple fanboy facts

MacRumours has a report that iWeb (Apple website creation software) will be dropped on the release of their new iCloud service. Apparently this was confirmed by Steve Jobs himself. I hope this is not true otherwise I will need to re-format all my websites again! I wonder which bit of software I wil ...

Re: Apple fanboy facts

Cupertino City Council have received an application for a 12,000 person super campus on the old Hewlett Packard site in Cupertino. Steve Jobs did two major presentations in two days running and both were entertaining and well ordered. The rumour is that the British Architect Norman Foster will be t...

Re: Apple iPhone

The files are maintained on your mac as a permanent copy, they are just made available in the cloud to 'push' to all of your devices. If you already own the cd they can't take that away from you! Think of the other benefit. Computer goes pop but you just buy a new mac, log into your account and re-d...

Re: Apple iPhone

I am liking the start of the iCloud beta. Although you can always re-download an app that you have purchased you need to be able to find it again and also remember that you have bought it in the first place. The 'app store' on your iPhone has now been udpated and you will find a handy 'Purchased' se...

Re: Apple fanboy facts

Lion updates. Especially like the version tracking and autosaving. Nice touches there to make computer use even easier. I wonder how many of the developers will use this functionality from the box (I am looking at you Microsoft Office). :-D

Re: Apple fanboy facts

WWDC 2011 announcements . No new iphone announced but there has been an announcement on the new operating system 'Lion' (I wonder when they will run out of big cats?!), iOS 5 with some amazing features and iCloud. They seem to have been sweeping up a lot of niggles with the iOS software in this rel...
