Re: Snow Watch

We've had light snow for the past 4hrs here now. Thankfully its not sticking- too warm and/or wet I think. For once I'm actually quite glad its not staying, I rode the road bike to work for the first time in a month today... its got NO tread at all and is interesting (or slightly scary) in the wet, ...

TV Shows

I've tried watching Reaper Series about a slacker who finds out on his 21st birthday that his parents sold his soul to the devil in exchange for his fathers life. now he has to work for the devil as a bounty hunter. Returning escaped souls to hell. I've only watched 2 episodes, but it seems ...

CoD: Modern Warfare 4s Awesome war game. Immersive. Hard! (One star off for brevity- Although I AM doing it again to improve my scores etc). Wii Sports Resort 4s WiiSports... with additions. Hit and miss. (Some games are FIENDISHLY addictive... others seem like filler). (BTW- New Basketball 3 point ...

Re: Snow Watch

Well despite heavy snow showers last night, the snow is disappearing from the streets of Edinburgh. Its been (relatively) warm today. My car is completely clear of snow for the first time since before christmas. More snow is predicted for later in the week, and the temperature is forecast to fall be...

Re: Snow Watch

SNOW!! It was bitterly cold on the way back from the pub last night. Woke up to 2" of fresh powder (and its still coming down). Bang goes my planned trip to Dundee to see Alex. Just hope Bex can get home from Cannock on Sunday- it took her 3hrs to get as far as Glasgow yesterday. (Normal ETA 45...

Re: Snow Watch

Its officially chilly here in Edinburgh today. Another light dusting of snow on the bike when I got to it this morning... and then my beard froze on the way to work. Yes, you read that right. MY BEARD FROZE!! It was due to my breath condensing into my beard (and on my glasses) and then freezing soli...

Re: Snow Watch

Its not cracked 0'C here since you were here Al, between -6 & -10 at night. Intermittent snow showers, but the roads remain the same- slushy edges and clear in the middle. I WISH I'd had a day off at some point, when its not snowing its wonderfully crisp and bright. We've got that wonderful gold...

Re: Snow Watch

GOOD SKILLS!! I built one as a teenager, we had 18inches of snow, so I put it to good use. I found it abit complex, but as Im sure Andy will attest, with trial and error you can get something REALLY awesome. On a side note, we also made anatomically correct (and rather explicit) snowmen and women on...
