day of the jackal

Post by Fez »

enlisted by a terrorist cell to assassinate president de gaulle, an english contract killer sets about preparing for his mission while the french police frantically try to discover who he is and stop him. although set in 1968 this film hasn't dated in terms of a believeable and entralling plot [the film is based on a fredrick forsythe novel of the same name], and the attention to detail by both the jackal and the police chief makes for much more involved viewing than the usual modern hollywood spy action flick rubbish - and that includes james bond and the bourne identity.

superb, they dont make like this anymore 5S

I saw it a while ago. You are right, it is still a good movie.

I would also give it 5S
