Speeder clocked at . . . .

Post by Mike »

172mph. That is a stupid speed, you have formula one cars doing less than that at points. How on earth they managed to get up such a momentum I will never know. Its rediculous at that speed an innocent trundelling along at 50 could have been killed in seconds.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets an actual jail sentence, but I think he's going to get a suspended sentence plus community service of some kind (no victims). The guy's a liability to everyone on the road at speeds like that...we don't even know that's the only time he's done it. And what's with the aggravated vehicle taking charge!?

I think it's very likely he will get a jail sentence, especially given the fact that the person who held the "record" prior to him- which was quite a bit lower - did. he's already lost his job and his licence.

Which is right and just. Driving can be a privelidge which must be used responsibly and with caution. The person had no regard for his or others safety! Its quite shocking really

Good to hear he'll probably get a jail sentence. You can tell I don't have much faith in the justice system on motoring offences, especially given the abysmally short sentences you see handed down for death by dangerous driving.
