Finally the British Library goes digital. The BBC are reporting that over 100,000 old books will be going online at a rate of 50,000 pages per day! Now that is impressive. I don't think it will negate the need to keep and restore the original books but it will be impressive to open this library out to the general public for enjoyment.
Not only that but the texts will be searchable! Wicked! :D
