The Energy Trust have created a home energy check for your house. It asks you some simple questions regarding the type and insulation value of your property and then creates an energy rating for your property (like the A-G rating on fridges). The assessment is pretty rough but it does suggest a few alterations to your house to see if you can get the most out of your property.
We have used this on a couple of houses in the office and also on one of our projects and it has been quite useful. My house is a D rating with the opportunity to raise to a C if I insulated all the external walls. As it happens I am pretty tempted to do that on my extension on the back because it is freakin cold but that is another story.
