Microsoft Wii Remote?

Cnet are reporting that a company has been briefed to create a Microsoft Wii remote for the xbox. When you look at the image here you just have to think. RIP OFF! It is literally a sketch of the Wii remote with buttons in a different location.

I wonder if it was supposed to be an april fools joke? The comments on the MTV page are scathing to say the least.

Good old Micro$oft, let somebody else do all the hard work inventing a technology (which frankly isn't all that complex) and then steal it and use it for themselves. Give them a couple of months and they'll be saying that Nintendo copied them! :)
