Bird Alert
Bird Alert
Has anyone got any handy DIY advice- we've got a bird stuck in our chimney (which is blocked up with a gas fire). Anyone got any ideas about how we can get it out ?

Hmm...think you may have a problem there Lizzie. This happened to a friend of mine from Uni and he ended up having to get someone in to remove the gas fire, sort the bird out and then put the fire back!
As a prevention, you will need a chimney cowl fitting (like these guys are selling: http://www.chimneycowlproducts.co.uk/).

putting some Tea leaves on some foil on top of the elements should give it a delicate flavour when you get at it!
On a more serious note- I'm not sure. is it trapped behind the fire or further up?

Don't know, it really disturbed my morning bowl of Cheerios though.
