Quotes to typify your life

Post by Mike »

I saw a quote yesterday that said,
Card wrote:I could give up Chocolate, but I am not a quitter
I think this would suit mr_e very well. Has anyone else stumbled across a quote that suits a person like that? If anyone quotes
George Best wrote:I spent 90% of my wealth on women and fast cars, the rest I squandered
then I will be very surprised!

I know its a bit morbid but I have always liked it, plus i suppose technically its a lyric.

"and you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking,
and racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
shorter of breath and one day closer to death" Roger Waters
Eagles may soar high, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

'If at first you don't succeed, buy, buy and buy again!' (One for Lizzie)

The three on my fridge:

'home is where the cat is'

'all the coffee in columbia won't make me a morning person'

'my idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance' (though I have got a lot better with that one)

This quote is not quite on topic but it does show that there is some weird good fortune out there sometimes.

The article is about an engineer who was disabled through an accident where a truck driver pinned him to a wall after careering off the road. He then suffered from depression and two heart attacks in the next 19 years before suffering from a stroke.

The stroke however, was a bit of a blessing in disguise. The re-wired brain enabled him to be a bit of a digital artist who sells his work online and has just been noticed and commissioned by EA to complete 100 creatures for their new game Spore. Genius! A bit of good luck after a long 20 year wait is a good thing! :-D

Illegitimi non carborundum

It is a mock-Latin aphorism which basically means "don't let the bastards grind you down".
