It was.

The weird thing is that Marlon Dingle is very, very, tall in real life. Either the rest of the Emmerdale characters are very tall or they have to have stilts. He's easily 6 foot 4. To fit him into a scene must be a cameraman's nightmare.

This is a goodie!
I know Louise off Space Cadets! I was watching TV on saturday night with my mate Jane (whom i met working at the Commonwealth Games athletes' village) who'd come for dinner and we turned over from the Strictly Come Dancing Results to see Louise in the Space Cadets diary room thing. I've not seen jane for months and as a strange coincidence we both know Louise from the CGs!!! All we could really remember was that she found noisy bodily functions quite funny and she often managed to bring any general conversation around to the topic of poo. nice  She was quite keen on being famous back then and i seem to recall she missed a shift cos she went to a pop idol audition (or whatever the same show was called in 2002). Little did we know she is also rather dim. Had an email from Lizzie that included the line 'the word gullible is written on the ceiling' - quite.

OK, gang, Sue tells me I should give you our list of famous aquaintances, and, having a few more years to play with, I guess we have a few more to add:

Famous relatives include Edward FitzGerald (Poet), Ernest Fitzgerald (Medical Officer for Health, Southport) Andrew Balfour (Naval Attache to the Court of Siam as seen in "The King & I") All dead long ago, all fortunes lost....

Famous people interacted with: Alasdair Alpin MacGregor (Author and Adventurer), Frankie Valli (Singer) Bob Gaudio (Record Producer/Songwriter) Don Ciccone (Singer/Songwriter) Jeffrey Kruger (Concert Promoter) Brian Bower (Photographer/Author) Peter Bargh (Publisher)

Others run into: Dave Dee (Of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich) Patrick Troughton (The Second Doctor Who) The Nolan Sisters and a few other assorted long forgotten....

Now it's time for you all to say, "Who?....."

Well - that kind of puts an end to the 'space cadets is actually a double double bluff' theory - as Claire's friend is not an actress as far as we know !!!

Is she one of the very stupid ones- or just the mildly stupid contestants ?

I don't remember her being a particularly bright spark but she wasn't that stupid either. she did have fame ambitions so in the 3 1/2 years since Commonwealth Games she might have either become an actress or just got really desperate?! :?

All this talk of double, double, double, double bluffs is making my head spin. I hope the joke is on the 'Space Cadets' and not the whole british public!

Cameron from Hollyoaks

Post by Chrissie »

When out Christimas shopping in Manchester yesterday I saw Cameron from Hollyoaks walking to the tram in Piccadilly gardens and FYI girls, he is just as fit in real life as he is in 2D on the box! 8)
Seeing him made the hell that is Christmas shopping a week before Christmas a little more bearable altho for all those who haven't quite got there yet, its pretty horrific, so prepare yourselves!

oooh, and while I'm thinking about it

Post by Chrissie »

oooh, and while I'm thinking about it, as this is the first time I've posted on this discussion topic, me and Vicky saw Tracey Shaw AKA Maxine on Corrie coming out of Starbucks behind Central library while she was in the soap before she was cut down in her prime at Christmas by the dastardly Richard.
I also saw Avril Lavigne while I was at LAX airport which was pretty cool and yes she really is as pint sized as she looks!
I met Jonny Ball at a science field trip in high school in London while he was still famous for 'Jonny Ball reveals all' which despite the title was good clean educational fun for those who don't remember it. :D

I'm v impressed with the Hollyoaks spot ( obviously far superior to an international pop star !! Tee Hee !! ).

Vicky and I also saw Ben from Hollyoaks in his MG round the corner from my Mum and Dad's house.
