New Bus Design for London

Foster and Partners with Aston Martin have won a design competition to design a new bus for London. Their competition winning entry is shown below.



This is not my favourite. The best in my humble opinion is the one designed by Jamie Martin

The first one looks like a children's toy, or something from an animation (the headlights are way big, they look like eyes). I'd think the second one was rejected because it was too "retro".

There was a joint runner up there as well, which looks fairly bad. Looks like the judging may not have gone entirely on looks, as it mentions "detailed technical drawings".
