There have been a few reviews in the Games section, but I guess they can go here as well!
This week I've played:
PES 2008 - - If you like football, own a Wii and don't have this game, then you're just missing out. Wish I'd played this last night instead of watching the Everton - Liverpool snoozefest on ITV!
Call of Duty: World at War - and a half - Bloody and realistic WW2 shoot-em-up. More than just an 'on-rails' shooter, you really do end up having to think about tactics; how best to beat the enemy, whether to charge or sneak, go round their flank or straight at 'em. It loses half a star for being mega-tough (fecking grenades) even on the easy setting, but then I guess it is war!
Nothing says "romance" like a kidnapped injured woman!
sorry mate, not havin that! Its multiplayer and single at best! I get immensely frustrated by going from 1st to last in 0.01seconds because someone has launched a blue shell, then a lightning, then a red shell etc.
Wii fit falling to (maybe lower?)
I just don't think its as good as its cracked up to be, there are only a few activities I really enjoy (skiing, hulahoop and football are the best).
Tiger 08
Immensely addictive golf game
Tiger 09 (rising to 4.5 with experience).
as above but with harder to get used to putting. (Once you get the hang of it its good).

You could not be more wrong. It is an amazing game and well worth the rating.
I like the WiiFit so far. I wonder how much it actually makes you fit but I suppose buring any energy at all whilst playing a computer game is good for you!
Cool. It will improve fitness - if used regularly. I suppose it is similar to 30 minutes light exercise 3 times a week which is pretty impressive. I am going to have to get on with the Brain Training on the DS too so I can ensure that the grey matter is well used.
I wonder if they got to keep the equipment. It must be hard to maintain that level of fitness without using the $3500 bit of kit - I think I will stick to the £70 bit of kit and take a slight improvement. . . .
The Wii Fit was fun to play when I tried it at Christmas, but I didn't try all the activities. My sister and her boyfriend have insane scores on the soccer/dodging game and ski-jumping, so they must get a fair bit of use out of it. I could only ever see mild fitness benefits from it, but at least it gets people exercising without thinking too much about it.
Well, I don't know. The board forces you to take each exercise and do it properly and in a controlled manner. I can see some benefit, not as much on the strength unless you really use if frequently.
Solid shootem up, 18rated as it contains STUPID amounts of swearing and gore. Quite hard until you unlock the autoshotgun, then its suddenly EASY. Bosses are monotonous to kill, but fun anyway. Minigames are good too.
My only real criticism is the length of the cut scenes and the fact that you have to watch them (the first time thru at least).
Guitar Hero World Tour: Wii
You play your plastic guitar in exactly the same manner as the previous few games, but now you could play drums or sing instead. Very good game, diverse song list. Personally, I'm drumming LOTS! The neighbors must HATE it!
Metallica version: Same game, but ALL metal songs. Mostly Metallica, but with added Mastodon and Alice In Chains!
Madworld
Not played it much yet, but seems quite repetitive. You go round dishing out INSANE violence on hoards of goons, the sin city graphics are cool- but makes enemy detection more complex as EVERYTHING is black or white! My opinion may evolve as I play the game more and find hidden depths. (I doubt it tho!)
Just re-discovered PES 2008. That is one adictive game. First time I played for. While and lost an important game that lost me the league. They did score 5 times through out the game. Ahem.
The second game was better with a 4 all draw and the third game excellent with a 3-0 victory! Woot.
World of Goo (From wii console thingy).- it lost a star for being too short, but at £10 its a small grumble.
Structural engineering with Goo. Unstable.
I've just got Call of Duty: Modern Warfare... review to follow, it looks AWESOME. I just need more free time to play it!

It's on the Xmas list along with PES 2010, I reckon I'll only get one of the two so we'll see. I enjoyed the last one immensely, so am looking forward to Modern Warfare.
I've also got my bro the new one for the XBox that he's getting (half price as a guy at work got a double order from Amazon), so may have to have a go on that on Boxing Day (whilst waiting for my sister-in-law to work out how to cook cold turkey...she's not bright! )

Count your blessings and hope she can't rea either!
Let me know what the game is like, although I won't hold my breath on that one as we are still waiting on an F1 2009 review. Al.
