A 1,600 year old codex written in ancient Greek has been published online for all to see. The first 800 pages of a possible 1460 have been uploaded. The interesting thing is the document was untouched for 1,500 years until 1844 when is was 'rediscovered' and spit between Egypt, Russia, Germany and Britain. I guess the German pages were lost in a couple of world wars.

Apparently the only other Codex of a similar age is held in the Vatican. I wonder what the condition of that document is like.
