I had a near similar experience on Asda carpark but I was the stationary vehicle and the big white van missed me by about a hair's width. That was slightly scary but I couldn't help wondering why he was trying to rev his bloody van when he was on ice and in a queue. However, the worst thing was a stupid middle-aged woman who, when traffic was finally moving, decided it would be a good time to try to cross with a trolley, wtf, like there weren't any nearer. which caused me to have to come to a shuddering stop. How nothing crashed into me I don't know. Needless to say, I swore vehemently but the anger remained contained within the vehicle.

I learned that: Mountain bike + warm clothing + 2inches of fresh pristine snow - any cars on the backstreets = AMAZING FUN cycle to work!! (I took the longer more scenic backstreet route coz its a BEAUTIFUL day, and I knew that I'm alone in the lab... so who cares if I'm late!) :-D :-D why can't every day be like that?
Genius. I am slightly jealous of the bike tracks in the snow in Edgeley. :-D

If you wear a padded jacket, a ski hat and a scarf around your mouth due to the bitter cold and decide to wander into Home Bargains at 9.10am and decide to absently loiter around, searching for pot pourri .... you will be followed by a security guard.

That can now be revised: 5inches of snow is EVEN BETTER!! Although the patches where cars have braved it are dicey when you're on two wheels.
Today I also learned that my job only actually NEEDS to take 4.5hrs a day. The rest of my time is obviously taken up by running around after everyone else, without them in the lab for the last two days I've got LOADS done! and in less time!
HEY! HO! Lets go!

You would hate Architecture. We can get loads done in a day (Architects) until the hanger on brigade come into play and mess it all up! In the name of coordination of course.
