Re: Snow Watch
Icy up in Westhoughton...road onto the estate hasn't been gritted, I performed a very unimpressive 90 degree skid before ramming into the kerb (which luckily stopped me).
No damage to the car, but I'm not looking forward to the return leg (uphill) later on today.

Re: Snow Watch
Woke up this morning, pulled on my bike shorts and cycling jacket... wandered downstairs.. opened the back door and wondered.
When did it get so COLD? Where did all this white stuff come from?
Yup, its snowed here again. Only an inch or two, but it confused the hell out of me this morning- (Al and Bambi can testify to how wonderful I can be before 10am). Although, having a cold didn't help my mental state.

Here we go again...only light at the moment, I'm happy that I left my boots/spade in the car though, just in case!

If it wasn't for the help of two of my M band I would not have made it up the hill at work. It's coming down steadily and looking like it wants to stay. Bugger.

Re: Snow Watch
I have to walk across town later to collect the Millie monster in this weather. I hope that Lizzie will be able to make it without breaking her neck on the ice!

Re: Snow Watch
It was rediculous last night. We set off at 6pm and arrived at home at 7pm. The traffic was mental due to a very light dusting of snow, it was silly. Very Silly.

Yet another demonstration of the evils of slushy snow!
It was beginning to turn into deceptive anti-pedestrian icy sludge this morning, but the menace declined throughout the day.

Re: Snow Watch
OK, its the 30th of March... and the snow is back.
It was sleeting this morning on my way to work, the hills around the campus all have snow on them and it bl00dy FREEZING again. Edinburgh remains snow free, but that could change. The rain is wonderfully chilly, and tomorrows forecast is for a max temp of 0'C and a min of -3'C with frequent snow showers. What the hell happened to spring?

Re: Snow Watch
Not good. What a miserable day! It's been cold and rainy today which was no fun. Hopefully tomorrow we will have bright sunshine again!

Re: Snow Watch
We have snow. Only an inch or so right now, but it's still comin down. Marvellous. I put my winter bike away in my parents garage (2miles away) about a month ago. Tomorrows commute could be "interesting"!
