Australian Banker keeps his job after being spotted looking at erotic models in the background on a live TV interview. Hahahahahaha. That is entertaining.

Body located at a building site wrapped in a carpet was deemed non-suspicious until the post mortem discovered she had a fractured chin, skull and neck. Very non-suspicious being wrapped in a carpet. I must remember that one for when I become a serial murderer. Sarcasm font required for previous sentence.

Yeah I read that story when they originally found it. They seemed to want to dismiss it straight off as being remains from when the area was a mass cemetary for the Angel Meadow slums.

My initial thought was...if she was living in a slum, where would the carpet have come from?

Exactly - why would you throw out an expensive carpet to bury someone?

After doing some reading up about the slum area which was described in 1844 by Fredrich Engels as 'Hell upon Earth', I would imagine if you had enough money for a carpet then you were slum royalty!

Some people obviously have TVs that are waaay too big for their rooms: camera angle induced motion sickness ahoy, me hearties!

And an ingenious way to make £83,000: con ambassadors with your bearded ways.

As a footnote, I found out whilst reading about Angel Meadow that Manchester's People's History Museum is due to reopen on Saturday. Free admission and could be worth a look if you're fond of Manchester or social history.

Yeah, that place might be worth a visit.

The Da Vinci exhibition at the Science and Industry Museum looks interesting too (though not free!).

It's not free, but we've got plenty of time to save up for it!

Well, the 2010 Winter Olympics are upon us, and if you ever needed any more proof that the luge is a freakin' scary sport: it's resulted in the first (and only, I hope) death of the Winter Olympics.

90mph on what appears to be little more than a board and two skates...aarrgghh!

Sad thing to happen, especially as it sounds pretty bloody horrible! The fact that they're raising the height of the wall shows exactly what happened. Poor guy.

Solar panels that can be flexible, use 1% of the material of standard solar cells and has the same 15-20% efficient. This is quite exciting because it uses less natural resources and it is easier to install!

Man holds breath for 19mins!!

My PB when swimming daily was around 3mins, but that was whilst swimming underwater. Currently anything over 1.30 is rough.
