Puce. As in the colour.

Oh and France rolls off the tongue too. Way to go Scotland, what a result for them in the six nations today. I was well impressed. I only got to see the first try but caught the highlights on tonights news.

Having caught the last twenty minutes due to me continuing to floor my loft, I was also very impressed with the Scottish Rugby Union squad's efforts. What most impressed me was their ''indefatigability'' in the last ten minutes.

Well, you could mop our hallway if you like, but I don't think that's quite what you had in mind...anyways, continuing onwards, have we had chic yet?

Ooh, John's got a picture- who's that then?

Believe me you wouldn't want to mop our hallway Claire- put it this way, it's black with dirt in some places! I think one of those industrial floor buffers would be required, never mind a mop...

I'm going for 'plethora'...

J'aime "chic" beaucoup - tres bien!
Sounds like your hallway is possibly more like dirt with black in some places?! i think i read a bit of my book in the end.
My word of the week in school is "divulge" this week. none of the little ignoramuses know how to say it either - i have to tell them how it's pronounced! is the word really than uncommon?

Ooh, tie-in: French is the nationality of the artist who painted the girl in my signature (heavily cropped from the original), and on the art theme: palette.

More clues to follow on the sig pic, not that anyone cares, but the artist does rock immensely.

Indicative. Because you can really accentuate the word to make it sound like an accusation.

In the words of the great Irish literary writer, James Joyce

''cuspidor is the most beautiful word in the English language''

I agree with him, it has a beautiful sound but not a beautiful meaning!
