I thought this film was very entertaining. The performance of Nicole Kidman was just charming. Will Farrell was wierd as always and played the spoiled brat Actor very, very well (maybe he has first hand experience in this one!).
I would say on all
Very entertaining but don't expect too much. A sweet film. Its a bit of a feel good film to be honest and if you are in the right mood it will thril and excite you.
My rating and enjoyment has nothing what-so-ever to do with my besottedness with Ms Kidman.
I used to watch the original TV series, which was charming, harmless fun. This film didn't fall into the usual remake trap, and approached things slightly differently, which was good.
by the halfway mark of this film i had lost the will to live and am now in the process of suing the makers of this unremittant cack-fest in the hope of recieving some form of compensation for the lost two hours of my life. avoid like the plague, it is truly awful.
I'm with Mike and John - very sweet and entertaining film. I also liked the way that rather than ignore the original tv programme altogether (as many similar remakes do) it was an intregal part of the film.
Hmmmm, but then I would be saying that I rank the film purely on the totty, not on the storyline, actors' performances, etc. I would have given it 1 star but having Nicole Kidman in it made me give it that 1 star higher!
She's fine, older woman ageless fine, i'd be happy if my woman looked as good as her when she is 40. For me, it's a thumbs up, amongst other things.... ooeer
