Als Birthday - Mikes Trauma

Post by Mike »

Hiya all,

Some of you might know Al from the PQ, others might not! Anyway his birthday night out was fun last night but my trauma this morning was. . . . . . NO bacon!

I thought I had some in the freezer but I have eaten it all! What am I going to do? Lizzie is feeling rather rough and should really have some lovely bacon to ease her suffering. . . . 8)

Elementary schoolboy era - you should have planned for this eventuality. Shame on you.

I won't risk getting into a gender fight by saying that it is a woman's job to sort out the shopping list

i'm more of a burger person when it comes to treating hangovers - possibly the only occasions when going to macdonalds is something to look forward to.
I came, I saw, I bought the T-shirt

Could you not eat the stuff you bought for the barbecue? Admittedly no bacon, but still close. Porridge with added salt for flavour (made with water, of course) and a glass of water is always good, for the masochists amongst you.

Funny you should mention it, the burger Lizzie had at the rugby sorted her out just fine in the end. :D

mr_e you are a disturbing fellow, do you actually eat salted porridge?

Yes the burger sorted me out temporarily - but I've had a bit of a dodgy tummy ever since !!

Maybe I should have stuck to a cornish pasty- don't think you can go too wrong with that!!!

I never look forward to going to McDonalds after watching 'Supersize Me'. Never been in since. In fact, don't recall eating anything from Burger King, KFC, etc, since then.

I don't think she can, unless she wants to make out that her sister poisoned her!

Anyone who hasn't had water-based porridge with salt is a wuss. I've only ever done it once, though. And don't talk to me about McDonalds, it's one of the few indoor food options nearby for those who don't want to spend most of their lunchbreak in the office. At least they do sandwiches now.

If you can call them sandwiches! The salt content of the ''healthy salad option'' would give a whale heart problems! It would give Justin Gatlin heart problems! It's mega unhealthy!

mr_e, if you die from MacDonalds, don't say I didn't warn you.

Mmm, Carlsberg liver failure or McDonald's coronary. Which delicious option to choose? I must admit, I really avoid McDonalds, but peer pressure and convenience have forced my hand in the matter. I think I may have to go for packed lunches more often.

You could just go for a liquid lunch
