This is a tale about life and death. The story revolves around a terminally ill heart patient, a grieving widow and a born again convict. They all struggle to cope with their lives after a horrible accident that throws them together. It is increadibly moving in parts and kept me interested.
I am suffering from a cold today and it seems to be getting worse which is a real pain! I don't know if that has affected my rating, I think if I was less uncomfortable it might have rated higher.
PS It has a very catchy film line
Film Posters wrote:They say we all lose 21 grams at the exact moment of our death. . . . . everyone.
The weight of a stack of nickels.
The weight of a chocolate bar.
The weight of a humming bird. . . . .
I don't know if this is part of the story or an actual measurable item. It would be interesting to know if someone else has any idea.
I've not seen the film, but guess I'll get around to it one day.
The quote about losing 21 grams at the exact moment of our death and it's origins interested me, and I managed to find this article, which says it came from a medical study way back in 1907. By all acounts, the science behind it is very shaky, which the article also discusses.
Nothing says "romance" like a kidnapped injured woman!
who cares, it's a neat idea. personally, and especially if i saw it coming, at the exact moment of death i'd probably poo a hell of a lot more than 21 grams
