Water Clock

Post by Mike »

I can't decide if this is really cool or really painfully tacky. . . . Weird definitely.

I quite like it. In the right sort of room it could be a really impressive talking piece.

In fact, I have something similar in my flat, but for weather forecasting. When I can hear the 'drip-drip-drip' sound coming from my kitchen or bathroom, then I know it's raining outside...even if the curtains are shut!!!

don't like it. it would be a good talking piece for about 1 party and then everybody would get bored and be like ''oh, you still on about that water clock again''. Plus, some smug git would make a reference to bowel movements/incontinence which would really annoy you if it cost a lot

Just don't invite any uber-environmentalists round: I suspect it uses more electricity than a normal clock, as there's a fair bit of water to pump around.

Well you can have energy guzzeling appliances if you actually have some energy generating appliances handy to offset! :D

Unfortunately, I think some people do genuinely have that attitude. People are weird that way.

I wonder how long it takes you to get used to the clock. I can imagine saying well, half an hour ago I worked out it was 10am. Definitely at work on time!
