Well hello folks. I'm going to use this thread for any pictures that don't include my friends and family, and the photgraphers amongst you are most welcome to critique away. All taken using my Pentax E20.
First up are photos taken when I was staying at a relative's house. The beach shots are near Littlehampton, and the last one is the Pavilion at Brighton:
The first one had to be rotated and cropped to sort the skyline (and some debris in the foreground) out, and the second one is cropped.
Now for part two: my walk up Latrigg. A fair portion of these had to be edited to correct the brightness (forgot to take the exposure compensation off at one point). Last and third to last were cropped:
That will be all for the time being, and I hope everyone's on broadband.
They look pretty cool. At least good enough for web viewing. Have you tried to print any of these out yet? I have been thinking that it would be nice to get a camera with a proper depth of field 'f' numbering system with the lens. I have been recommended to get a Pentax . . . . may consider it depending on cash, you know how it is. The camera would be a pretty significant investment.
The best photos display drama and the sea side obviously does that one. It is probably more gray because mr_e is sitting in his car at that point. . . .
I so forgot to reply to this. The sea and breakers photo was shot on the same day as the one above: it was sunny, but with a bit of a breeze. The exposure was a nightmare on that one, as it was hazy and the sun was producing some strong light.
Thanks for the comments folks. Any tips on composition are always appreciated, that's one thing I don't know much about, except the thirds thing.
