Mine too, christmas renewal date should hopefully give em time to restock and (start praying now) drop the price to the point where I can negotiate.

I currently pay £25 a month, get good mins and txt. I'd take the iphone if i could pay upto £100 for it and keep my contract as it is. i've got a shout, Bex was the same when she renewed she doubled her mins and txt, got a price drop AND the (then) top of the range sony k850i worth £250.

if you saw the gadget show on Monday, it covered getting the best contract possible. They said that you have to tell the network you're leaving. At which point you'll be offered improved deals. Don't cave and even ask for the MAC code- which lets you port your current number to another network (at which point they'll panic) and then start listening to the offers they make. ;-)

The future's bright. The Future is NOT orange. They wrote to me and said.

We think that we have many offers that will interest you and make you stay. Well, do you have an iPhone I asked. No they said. Okay; bye said I.

YEAHA! I have a 3G iPhone. I am so happy! Needs to be activated because O2's computers crashed about 3 customers into the day. I was Number 7, nearly Number 6 but I thought the guy sitting on the floor was just unconsious (he was actually queueing!). There was a totally trashed person who kept trying to get into the queue. He did not know what we were queueing for and kept asking and saying he was going to buy 10 as he was a landlord of a pub who owned 2 houses and had a 300,000 bank balance.

He also told us his dad used to beat him and that tramps and foreigners were not to his liking.
He also gave us a rendition on what was wrong with the world and then peed on the side of the O2 shop. . . . nice.

Overall a worthwhile experience but needs to be slotted into iTunes at home to activate. Well, we have to go home later anyway (might go home for lunch!) so will activate then.

So far:
Shopping experience with O2. 5s
Unboxing experience at work. 5s
Excitement at the phone being activated at lunch time. 5s
General good health of my star giving 5s 5s 5s!

He certainly kept us entertained! The 2 hours went very quickly. This is the first forum post from the phone, Chris Banks will from now on be known as super chris for letting me activate on his laptop!

My phone still isnt activated! Damn it! Bloody sim card still isnt working. Still its a reasonably cheap ipod touch atm :) I want to test out the 3g! :(

Crazy drunk guy / guys were not as entertaining at my end of the que. I saw no peeing and quite successfully avoided talking to him. When he tried to talk to the guy in front and was then confronted with a guy going "DAD! I TOLD YOU TO STAY AT HOME YOU BIG DRUNK" he looked total confused and went off.

Come on Iphone activationidge.

Al the slow activation sucks. I guess they are still working through the mass of back registration. Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

I thought you were an architect... not an IT bloke. That was a textbook IT response!
