We lost last night in a disappointing game filled with mistakes. 28-6. Ouch. We really need to work on our try scoring abilities if we are going to maintain speed at the top of the table.

Not actually the Premiership but the Heineken Cup match today was nail biting and good to watch but it was a shame that we lost in the end. It was a noticeable difference when Charlie Hodgson came onto the pitch though, we upped our game massively.

Sale played in the EDF Energy cup yesterday. It was a shame but we losb in the last moments of the match. I think Charlie Hodgson was in for a late try but is suffering from a knee problem and just missed out on the line. On the plus side we seem to be reminding people aboutthe let's go charlie let's go chant! I heard it independently of my own screaming yesterday.

BBC are saying that 8 of the England players for the autumn internationals are being released to play for their clubs in the EDF Energy Cup. Interestingly there are only two players from Sale in the England squad, Andrew Sherridan and Mathew Tait. This is quite a turn around from a couple of years ago in 2006-7....

The autumn internationals start this weekend with Austrailia and New Zealand. England play their first game on the 8 November against Pacific Island at 14:30.
Here is a list of the
Sky Sports fixtures list.

Fance vs Argentina is on at the same time we are watching Bond. I hope that this won't mean that we are missing a great bit of rugby! The cinema trip is still on as far as I am concerned though.

Walkabout at 2pm if anyone is interested. Obviously colours are a requirement of the day else you will be judged.

England 39-13 Pacific Islanders. Good game, not too shabby at all. They will probably need to set up a gear for next weeks match against Australia. That is going to be hard man.
My two underdog favourites were Italy and Argentina. Both seemed to do really well given the results and write ups. Italy narrowly lost 20 - 30 against Australia and Argentina held France to 12 points against their 6. Still a loss but who would have thought that over a year ago the French would have been held like that against the Argentines. I am off to find a more detailed write up of that match as it looked as though it was tense!
