Well, as part of a huge photo-reference collection I have, I may just have about 130 or so photos of Ms. Knightley. Requests to the usual address. I could also throw in 38 of the truly unique looking Sophie Dahl as an extra bonus...

hey, I don't expect her to act like a lady
mr_e, what quality are the photos. Also, Sophie Dahl, are they in her stage about 5 years ago, if so, yup, if they are more recent after she dated ageing rockers then no.

Well, the photos (well, I should really say computer files) are big enough that I can't email them anywhere. Besides, what would everyone think? I'm at risk of coming across as some kind of sleazy photo merchant here, so I think I'd better leave it there. Heh, too late maybe?
On a similar note, I always raise an eyebrow at how they've "enhanced" her cleavage on the PotC posters. I mean, it's getting silly now, as it's not the only instance of it happening.

Well, I've finally watched this film.......... and here is my verdict
Knightley - still would, the only decent thing in it, I know she ain't a good actress but she is definite eye candy
Depp - way, way, way too much mincing going on, Julian Clarey would have been cheaper
Bloom - With a moustache like that he reminded me of a sleazebag,
Gareth from the Office - Stick to the sitcom fella because you need to
I know I will get slated for this but it was appalling, Rowenna liked it, I hated it. There was virtually no script/plotline that couldn't have been done in 20 minutes and there was so much slapstick that I was expecting Benny Hill and that crap music to come on half-way through. I could stomach it for about the first hour but then it got worse.

- and that is only because it has KK in it!
Oh yeah, and the baddies looked like King Hiss and the Snakemen from the Masters of the Universe - that is very very wrong

The annoying thing is that I will have to go and see it. Sometimes I hate being a dutiful boyfriend!

Boyfriend? Aren't you engaged, or is that someone else I'm thinking of?

he is, but talk of marriage seems to bring him out in an uncomfortable rash

the reason why it makes me uncomfortable is because everyone seems to adopt the ''serious pose'' when speaking about it (eyes fixed on me, eyebrows narrowed, hunched forward, lips pursed and then speaking in an authorative tone like Jeremy Paxman, if they have a pint in front of them then they circle the top of it with their fingers - Fez, you do this a lot)
This makes me seem nervous because a) the conversation prior to this was generally fun and hilarious, and b)I feel I am being interrogated and I can never give a right answer because there are always two right answers. therefore, everyone decides to be the voice of all reason about it and offer their opinion about it without realising the massive complications surrounding it - i.e. her family are in Newcastle, it will cost a great deal of money, she wants the bathroom doing first, which Church would it be in, how many people should we invite, how expensive is it going to be.
2 years time is the most likely date - it is the most feasible. It would have been next year but we decided to sort out all of the garden and need to save up for the bathroom
Anyway, back to the original thread - I still dislike this film.

my only interest in your wedding is finding out when the reception is and what the bar will have on tap - a serious subject that deserves much consideration.
i haven't seen this film so will have to retire to a pub somewhere and consider it seriously with a pint, finally admitting at closing time i have no interest in keira knighty but will probably have to watch this on dvd at christmas with the family...probably while drinking to pretend it isn't happening.
hmm, maybe i drink too much...i'll have to go and consider this seriously with a pint...

Scary thing I just found out...Bill Nighy's character, Davy Jones, is apparently entirely computer-generated. They literally filmed Nighy on set with a blue pyjama suit thing on, then CG'd it all in. I was absolutely gob-smacked when I heard that. Of course, those with no interest in computers will go "what?", but I can assure you it's a pretty impressive feat.

That is pretty impressive. Can you tell in the film? They are really getting good at that sort of effect.

I have to be honest - it was a good effect - didn't improve the film for me though.
Also, sick image in my head mr_e - Bill Nighy in a blue pyjama suit *shudders.

At least they didn't just body-paint him blue and glue white balls onto him.
