I'm sorry that you are finishing your Journal - I always enjoyed reading it. How else is a poor deluded DM to know what happpened?

Ah well, perhaps another volunteer will emerge from the shadows?

I would almost volunteer, but my notes aren't that detailed any more, and I'm somewhat lazy at the moment. This has reminded me that I should maybe visit Dragonsfoot again, though...

...why bother? the journals in general are poorly written and exist more for dm's to compare adventure notes than to entertain in any fictional sense, and the forum recycles the same pointless debates endlessly because that's all the spineless moderators will let anyone talk about.

I liked the campaign journals. I think we (as a playing group) helped kick it off properly as one of the more consistent journal writers. . . . . I generally liked the tales of randomness.

Well DnD was a real bust last night - I hope you all had more fun than Lizzie and I. Our car broke down after developing a fault on the M60. I first noticed there was a problem when the car slowed to 60 (from 70) whilst going up the Burton Bridge. It was really odd and at the time thought nothing more of it. We then struggled all the way to about 5 minutes away from my Parents.

At this point the brakes went really really soft - the pedal was hissing when I pumped at the brake and we had to pull over. When we got out of the car the brake disk on the left hand side of the car was glowing red hot. This is the SECOND time we have had a fault on this brake, the last was about 12 months ago.

We duely called VW assistance and they arrived 1hour and 45 minutes later. It was very cold and painful wait. They stripped the brakes down, saw the problem but after cleaning could not find a fault. DAMN! The warranty is up in about 6 months so I think we will need to insist that the garage stripe out the brakes and replace all non wear and tear parts. I don't want the same problem to occur in one years time and find it will cost me about ?3 brazzillion pounds to repair. . .

Sorry you had such a bad experience. There's never a good time to break down.

I'll fill you in on what happened here later on, but your input was missed!

Oh, so you decided to bring him back then?
I suppose it was a bit unfair having him killed by stirges when he wasn't even there to defend himself.

Death by Stirges. What a way for a cavalier to go. . . . embarrassing.

the latest update to dragonsfoot has been posted for your viewing pleasure. i've finally got it up to the point in the market of khalibar where mort finds his fate interwined with sir john's impending doom...

More correctly Mort finds his fate intertwinded with Sir Johns eventual victory. :D I would not like to be in the position of a Mort who betrays a cavalier. . . .
