Round and round goes the mr_e...
I was referring to my "most bizarre mental image of 2006" award having no prize! Just to clarify a completely trivial point there.
Incidentally, don't know how you all manage to recognise people you've never met like that, I really can't seem to do it unless other people totally point them out to me. Is there some sort of celebrity recognition training I can do?

Hours and hours of watching mind-numbing T.V. whilst doing your marking/planning/general work commitments.

You've really got to speak to your younger brother about his fetishes.

Yeah well, what can you say? Some of us are comfortable around celebrity. I've holidayed with Bob Geldof...well he was at the same hotel at the same time as we were, so that counts doesn't it? :)

Correction, you almost never
recognise famous people.

When he was eating his meal were you ever tempted to go ''feed the world Geldof, feed the world not yourself'' in a rather loud and irritating voice and then run away dodging waiters and security cameras?

...and also dodging the barrage of expletives from Mister Geldof. Thinking about it, were you in some kind of five-star hotel, Al? I can't imagine Geldof slumming it on a package holiday somewhere.

It was an ok hotel on the island of Sanibel in Florida. We were there as part of a package trip from Virgin. I would imagine Mr Geldof had a slightly better room and organised the trip himself.
He was with his kids and nanny, was never obnoxious, rude, loud or abusive and didn't even play the "Don't you know who I am" card when told that the restaurant had finished serving for the night (on what I assume was his first night at the hotel).
And no, the thought of singing 'Feed the world' never entered my mind...

Sure it didn't. Just like you didn't want to go up to him on a Monday morning and say
Can you ''Tell me why, I don't like Mondays'' please?
