 I wasn't a maudlin navel-gazer. I had a good night! Fine food (if I say so myself), nice beer and a quality movie... :P

You've really got to think how these comments come across, Mr E.
You're right John - i should have put a winky face because i've re-read and it comes across quite arsey. but in turn that's amusing because surely you must know by now that i do not take offense easily! and to be sure:
I use sarcasm to remonstrate at school. but only with the boys mind you, the girls think you're a bitch if you do that. and they hold grudges.

i never knew you were so easy to disconcert! on the plus side: compliment SCORE!

Dare I ask how I'll know if I do ever cross the line?

Hmm, I was going to ask if I could take back the "intelligent" bit in light of your linguistic skills (says the guy who had to look up denouement), but how do I know it wasn't deliberately ambiguous in order to prompt a compliment, and thus a triumph of feminine guile? Thus it shall have to stand on the record as is.

I can write a nice little paragraph on one of my major hang-ups that relates to why I was so easily disconcerted if you like, but I'll save that for when I get really drunk at someone's house. Then I can blurt it out with reckless abandon and half-forget I've said it.

And then we'll remind you of it when you're sober! ;)

Sorry I read this - if for some reasons [Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel, Grovel, grovel] you don't.

It is nice to see a good opinion being aired though. . . . . 8)

btb - I do not consider tone of posts much unless they say something that offends me. If that happens I go away and sulk . . .

I still can't believe I would come up with "I'll lie..." (yeah, that's edited). I mean, honestly, this is when I start thinking people are making stuff up or I'm a complete liability when under the influence. The scary thing is: I'll never know! I'll just have to trust everyone to be super honest.

I'm impressed you spotted the subtext to my little panic there, Mike. Also, how did you find the time to type out all those grovels, with alternating capitals as well (nudge, nudge, wink, wink etc)?

Don't mock Mike's sulking Fez, I saw it after the Spanish hat incident, and it wasn't pretty.

hahahahhahah! it wasn't deliberate...but now i'll pretend it was. guile in retrospect! reasons for being a girl #1: getting away with that sort of craic! feminine guile is genius and we don't even know we're doing it. that's where the danger lies; thus our powers are impossible to harness, inimitable, and wickedly infuriating! no sarcastic comments Fez, that would be too predictable. if you make a comment refuting feminine guile, you will only validate that!

No, Fez, don't do it! Think of the children!

Claire, you don't have to pretend it was deliberate, just put it down to a well-trained subconscious ability. Men unfortunately lack this capacity, as they have smaller guile secretion glands due to lower oestrogen levels. Fact! I think I may also have nightmares about Claire's last post, and it battling with logic in a duel to the death. Then again, maybe that was the intention. The guile never ends!

sorry i read this as - feminine guile is A pile of poo, A PILE of poo, A PILE of POO. that's where the danger lies if you are a naive man who has been mothered to death; thus our powers are impossible to harness because we don't have any which means that it is wickedly infuriating!

I hope we are not talking about poopoo. 'We once had to disband a whole regiment, and all because of poopoo. . . . .' - Black Adder Goes Fourth for those who are not fanatics like me. :D
