That does sound so very familiar. It ranks up there with people who create folder in a project called 'my files' or 'temp'. WTF are these for, what do they relate to and how the hell do I find a document that does not have a smegging reference number?!

Today I learnt that
sarcasm is an evolutionary survival skill!
A view that I'm quite happy to agree with, as sarcasm was the only way I got through school alive!

Today I learned that big companies are useless at best and at worst incompetent!
I've ordered a new mobile from Tesco, their computer ordering system was down... but did they tell anyone? No, they let customers place orders and just cancelled them! My parcel didn't arrive on Monday so I called them and was told it must be because my card was out of money! So I asked to speak to the cheeky buggers manager who apologised and told me the real story.

I'm now collecting it from the didsbury store as they are also having "issues" with their delivery service.
and BtVision from BT... I asked for it to be sent to the office as I cant get the day off. I spent AGES (as Al and Mike will tell you) confirming my MMU address. They called last night to say that, wait for it, they can ONLY EVER deliver to the address on the account! So I've gotta take monday off, or hope it arrives after 4pm.

I did wonder about that. I know from experience that a lot of companies place restrictions on delivery addresses, particularly from 'Customer Not Present' transactions (i.e. phone or internet). Blame the scammers and the fraudsters for this, not necessarily the company...they're just trying to reduce fraud and protect legitimate customers. On the other hand the Customer Services people should have told you this when you placed the order...but BT aren't good at Customer Service!

Yeah BT helpline is just a random number generator to see if you get to a person who may help you...

I sort of feel sorry for BT. Non of their departments are able to share any information and therefore are the most ponderous and painful of experiences!

I learnt yesterday that effing doctors receptionists should not dispense medical advice in potentially serious circumstances...that is why doctors go through all that training! I just wish my Mum would ring the surgery and put in an official complaint against the stupid cow!

I learnt that customer service does not have to be painful! I had to clear off a debit from my e-on account; got through first time, dealt with the payment swiftly, reduced my direct debit level and got the number for the moving team. The last two items I didn't even have to ask about, it was just done. Well done e-on!

The hospital (doctors and consultants...not effing receptionists!) are 99% sure that she had a 'mini-stroke'. She's fine, a little depressed and not looking forward to a summer of tests though!
She's also going to complain to the surgery after the barage of tests are done...

Well that does not sound very good at all. I hope that she feels better soon though, the tests will be a laborious chore but will be worth it in the end!
