Must admit I know next to nothing about any sport. . . .so I would not even know where to start. Can name Murray and Henman as (ex-) tennis players for the UK!

Morgan Freeman has been in a car accident and is in a serious condition in hospital. The sad thing is this is being reported in the entertainment section of the BBC news website.
There is also an article on the BBC explaining that people still believe in the flat earth theory. Will post a link later it's a bit of a pain on the iPhone no copy and paste!

Knights Templar threaten to sue the Vatican for $100 billion Euro's if the Pope does not restore their good name after being crusted in the 13th century by the Pope (hopefully not the current one) and King Philip of France who was piqued by the Order expanding its monetary wealth and laying the foundation of modern banking (perhaps he owed them money?)

Paris Hilton in ALMOST intelligent satire
shock!
She responds to John McCain using her image in an anti Obama video... Its actually quite clever, we can safely assume she didn't write it!
On a similar note... McCain shot himself in the foot, who is a significant contributor to his campaign? Oh, yeah, Kathy Hilton. Paris's mum- she's singularly unimpressed at him taking the piss out of her daughter and has said "That's the last cheque I'll be sending him!"

That video is full of win. She may not have written it, but it shows she has a decent sense of humour.
If the amounts of $4,600 are true for the campaign donations are true, then I don't think McCain will be missing the money. The campaign costs in the US are just ridiculous, so that would only represent a tiny fraction of his funding.

This is a nice one from Hack-A-Day. A doctor built a miniature Dialysis machine in his garage to save the life of a 6 month old baby girl who suffered kidney failure. Kudos.
Cell Phone parts used in swarm robots. I have not heard the term Swarm Robots before but they are multiple robots who are designed to work together to solve common problems. They could be used as disaster relief to help locate survivors.
Hot Water Hot Earth the hottest temperature water recorded is in a sea vent and measures 407 degrees C and a piece of earth that is 433 degrees C. Pretty impressive temperatures apparently caused by under water magma and burning hydrocarbons beneath the surface.

It's Sad that a man lay dead in bed in his house for two years before people noticed. It also highlights the danger of direct debits, he continued to pay his bills for two years after he died automatically! I wonder if he got any of the money back?!
Conned Woman gets her £200k back after being taken to the cleaners over a £12,000 driveway refurbishment. This is shocking, good on the Building Society and the Police for tracking them down and getting her money (plus interest) back. It is a rare case to be able to return the money.
Naked barrister calls for a ban on men in scrabby shorts in Knutsford. Or as he put it a Phil ban. . . .

This is a very funny article and should be read, the comments he made are really, really freaky!
21 year wait for a couple who wanted to get married on 08/08/08! The only time it is likely to happen in their life time!
Tragic secret of a grandmother. This is a bit sad.

My thoughts...
1-
he died automatically!
2- Good
3- He can f*ck off! He needs to get a new hobby as he's obviously got too much time on his hands!
4- Some people are weird. I know a girl who postponed her wedding after she noticed it was booked for the sixth of june 2006
5- Sad, but...
Instead, she hid the tiny bodies in a briefcase . . . keeping them there even when she moved house.
And one more...
Man with 86 wives suggests its more hassle than its worth! I could have told him that!

what would he spend it on? do you have to rent the wings and halo? i doubt he got his money back and as for next of kin, if they get any blood money after leaving him dead for two years it should go to help the aged.

The poll about the wearing of shorts in Knutsford on the MEN site is worrying... 48% of people agree with the guy. That article does indeed have some brilliant quotes in:
"As far as ladies go, it's obviously a different matter. They normally have attractive, lovely legs and are an asset to the town in summer. It's always a pleasure to see them wearing dresses and shorts, which are beautifully tailored, clean and elegant."
"Shorts are often accompanied by collarless T-shirts or vests, or even no shirt at all. Is this another nail in the coffin..."
"Even in boiling hot weather, shorts are unacceptable. People should do their shopping at a different time... Three-quarter length shorts are the worst... It savagely detracts from my sense of wellbeing when I visit the town and see such ghastly sights."
They even mention the law firm he works for in the article, which I wouldn't be pleased about if I employed him. Except for the fact they are likely also pervy, reactionary, elitist snobs and agree with him on the matter.

I liked the quote about young ladies too! I hope it was tounge in cheek, it does seem to be a bit April fools like. I meant to say the payments carried on automatically not he died automatically!

Oh man, that shorts article is funny!
"It is another example of the sort of louts and ill-mannered people who are increasingly visiting Knutsford in a minority..."
He should be glad they're only in the minority...he should go to Cannock for the day!
"It's perfectly legitimate to wear shorts on holiday in the south of France..."
Or another way of putting it is..."Damn those Frenchies, we beat Napoleon and saved them from the Hun so I'll bare my pasty white English legs to show how much better I am than them! Fnnar."

Zero Waste Lithium mining using the waste product from GeoThermal energy plants. Clever use of something that would otherwise be wasted. This is what we need to be doing much more off to keep the supply of materials feeding into the commercial system
