Actually I thought it was a stunning episode - the return of Rose was very well handled and very logical, the sense of a story unfolding was excellent and the way the episode encapsulated the best of the original with a new, fresh approach was inspired.
Very strong IMHO!

I liked this weeks Doctor Who too. I was hoping that the Brigader would make another silver haired return but it was still fun watching.
I still wish I had the viewing figures for each episode so I could judge the popularity of the programme.

Afternoon Guys
Hope you are all well. As a general rule I'm not a telly fan, but once again Dr Who has lived up to the required standard which I didn't expect with this series. However I've missed the majority of an episode - The one (2nd or 3rd episode) where the evil character looks like a bath towel hung on a maiden but is actually the last human.
Here's the potentially scary bit - May I be provided with a list of volunteers whose arses I need to lick in order to borrow a vhs recorded copy of this episode - It would be very much appreciated.
Cheers, Woody

I think that this double episode is the best doctor who that I have seen so far this series. Am loving this new doctor now. Roll on the next episode!

Superb stuff yet again, and the "domestic" bits are so well done it is scary...
I thought the parralels with the "Weapons of mass destruction" debacle were curious and interesting - not sure id Doctor Who is the place for political statements, but then again why not?

Why am I suddenly having to scroll left to right on this forum?

I would suggest it has something to do with Mr. Knight's long single word
post affecting the frame size.
On the other hand, I have yet again missed almost all of the last three
episodes. If anyone has managed to tape them all, I shall join Woody
in whatever depraved activities are necessary to secure the
aforementioned episodes.

This double-header went up in my estimations
once the second part resolved what had been
set up in the first, probably making a great hour
and a half's viewing when they come out together
on DVD. The boyfriend was much more interesting
and bearable as well this time, though that woman
playing the mother is still cringe incuring.
However, episode three still remains my personal
favourite so far, possibly having something to do
with that cute welsh maid - though it's seriously
hard to fantasise about a girl when she has the
same name as my mum!

Ratings so far:
Episode 1: 9.9 million
Episode 2: 7.3 m
Episode 3: 8.34m
Not bad at all!

Where did you get those viewing figures from? I am very curious about some programmes viewing figures you see.

I hear that the new episode has raised the ire of some watchdog or other for its unbridled use of foul language - the offending word being "canoodle" - so I hope the faint of heart will be duly warned! There are Daleks in it too, but that isn't nearly as scary as the word......

Having already attained some idea of what the storyline for this episode is going to be,
I should point out that in all likelihood only a single Dalek will be appearing and
not a whole cavalcade of them as some might have hoped.
As for the heinous use of such a scandalous word I can only hope the watchdog of
busybodies and timewasters wont be too offended when I say to them fuck off you
miserable braindead Mary Whitehouse wannabes.
Now, what are the bets the second series will feature the Cybermen, assuming the
current series hasn't fitted them in somwhere?
