Now, now, now, who'd be scared of little old me? And john, thanks for the moment of sheer hilarity: did you over-balance and take a blow to the head as you were trying to de-foot your mouth? :P

My foot was in my mouth? I was so busy trying to stop Mike putting words into it I hadn't noticed the foot. How foolish one does feel!

Which was the hilarious bit? The whole thing? Something I've said but don't realise was funny? The paranoia is worse than being homicided! What cruel torture is this? O, me miserum! etc etc, exit stage left. Le fin. Curtains fall to rapturous applause.

I then wake up.

Incidentally, I was suspended upside-down by my mother at one point after choking on a gobstopper, but she never dropped me. Instead, I fell off a slide onto a concrete step. Can't say I remember much of that...

And I also have a slight hangover (was out last night with house peoples) by way of explaining the random, slightly weird post.

As soon as you started the idea of being scared of me it got funny John. i laugh about it cos it's the friendly alternative to getting pissed off when people (and many have) make that comment. i am a gentle soul, and have no homicidal tendencies. except after wednesdays, period 6. JOKE.[/quote]

If I had to teach I would have homicidal tendencies. . . .

Yay! Good to know that Claire is still a gentle jeune femme, and that teaching hasn't affected her adversely. We all secretly suspected it anyways, I'm sure.

seaflower, do excuse the horrible derailment of the thread. I remember reading Mike's cousin's forums and seeing the long rambling discussion and thinking "whoa!". Then I look back on a few threads here...

Not a good idea, that would play right into her hands...she'd become an ego driven monster and this place wouldn't be the same again! ;)

what do you mean 'become' an ego driven monster? i'd like to take this opportunity to say i want a big funeral, preferably a pagan service and everyone should be in black - none of this celebrating life crap...

Next question is...what can possibly replace it? Will the BBC take a chance with an unknown drama? It'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

It's a bit sad, as that whole run of programs from home-time onwards was part of my childhood experience. I remember the horror at school when they changed the theme tune...

I wil actually feel happier paying my license fee knowing that it is no longer paying for this Austrailian drivel. All they need to do now is stop flogging the dead horse that is Eastenders and I'll be over the moon.

But...

I think the idea is that channel five buys it - but they already have home and away so that will be bizarre!
