Yeah, I watched some of the live news stuff last night (had nothing better to do...sleep? Nah...overrated!)...was a total case of 'Is he, isn't he' until the LA Times finally got confirmation first.

Whatever you think of the guy as a person (especially in latter years), I find it hard to believe that no-one has never been affected by his music. A true legend who ranks alongside the greatest.

It is a shame. He was very young really! Guess the UK tour ticket buyers will be disappointed.

unless the comeback tour is going to take on biblical connotations! Thriller could soon become a factual documentary.

Sorry, I just don't really care too much. He had good tunes, but was WEIRD! I feel sorry for his kids, but then I always have.

16 year old who is the size of a baby with the mental age of a toddler is baffling medical experts. To be honest I have the answer. She is an elf! A re-assurgance of a genetic trait that has skipped a few thosand generations. Obvious really!

I notice how they don't have any pictures of the stoned wallabies' crop circles, so I'm guessing they weren't that pretty. I thought you couldn't get high from the seeds until they were processed though? And will the affected wallabies have to go to rehab?

eBay bought Skype for £2.6bn a couple of years ago but failed to buy a key part of the technology from the co-founders. It now appears that the co-founders have a problem with eBay trying to sell off the company and are threatening to lank the technology if they don't shape up. Ebay have been accused of violating the licensing agreement. Doh.

Top 10 Prison Breaks the raincoat raft was my favourite - 'they were never found' is a direct quote. Well of course they wern't, they drowned. Raincoats do not make effective boats!

20 ways to spot a Geek Dad. Okay, I am a geek, but only about half of them applied to me. Can you guess which ones? PS I think I will try number 1 just to see if I get a black eye.

Michael Jackson narrowly misses re-entering the top ten posthumously (for singles sales). Demand for his albums has shot up 80 times since his death. What I did not know was his album Thriller was (prior to his death) ranked at 179 in the sales charts - that is surely amazing considering its age (ps it is now number 7 in the album sales - and that is in two days following his death!).

PPS. His greatest hits album Michael Jackson's Number Ones is number 1 in album sales this week.

The Pirate Bay is sold for £4.7 million. That makes a mokery of the £2.4 million fine they had been given earlier in the year! The new Pirate Bay owners will now create a legitimate way for the copyright holders to be paid for their material that is 'shared' through the site.
