The penguin news is a shocker, but the female had more assets to offer: two nests!

Lying down in weird places is the thing to do. As long as you take a photo of it, then post it to a Facebook group.

OK, two of the weirdest stories I've seen in a while.

A Russian company has decided to exploit emerging markets in Nigeria... the gas market... so they've called their company. Niggaz! Something lost in translation?

another one- Wrestling Midgets 'Killed By Fake Prostitutes' That has to be one of the most surreal headlines I've seen in AGES!

Oh, and a regrettable one. The real world has reached my own sleepy corner of the UK. A girl was raped in North Berwick. Thankfully someone heard her cries and got up, out and intervened. Hope they catch the scumbag. This is probably the first serious crime in the town in about 15years- everyone in the town is shocked.

Shocking! Congrats to the guy who intervened, he showed some serious bravery there. Every single person who enters the pub that she was followed from should be subject to dna swabbing.

Blue M&Ms 'mend spinal injuries' (I love the blue tinged albino mouse photo! I wonder if this is similar to the sunny-D effect? If so how many would you have to gobble to turn BLUE! )
Swallow flies thru gap... at 30mph! And the gap was 1/7th of the birds wingspan! They ARE awesome fliers, never cease to be amazed by this sort of thing! (How long did it take to get that photo!?)

On the animal theme: leopard vs crocodile: who wins?. Bizarre, especially as the result was a bit unexpected.

US woman sues her college because she can't find work

Of course, she could stop wasting time filing lawsuits and get a job...any job!

She sounds like a right whiny cow, who wants everything thing on a plate...yesterday. Actually, she sounds like perfect managerial material!

That is amazing. I wonder what makes her think that she deserves a job as though the world somehow owes her a living. If I heard she was planning to sue her college I wouldn't employ her either!

So she's basically saying that at least five years of her life (usa version of college and uni) were a waste? You're right Al, she is a whining cow who should be thankful that she was born into a society and family that allowed her to have all these opportunities. I personally detest people that think working life should come to them and help them rather than them going to working life, taking it on and trying to make a success of it. I am also shocked at the mother for basically supporting her, if it was my mum she'd have clouted me around the ear, called me a waster and kicked me out of the house. But then again, I'm getting on with life like the rest of us...

I wonder if she is willing to give up her degree for it? Now that would make a rather interesting case.

Her argument is that the college didn't provide her with enough career advice and job finding services for her...er...a quick tip from someone who didn't find a job until a good 6 months after leaving uni...USE THE INTERNET!!!!

Are you telling me that there is no equivalent of Monster.co.uk in the States? Or that there aren't a million and one IT recruitment consultants out there? Lazy, good for nothing waste of space!

I spent time working as an office-temp/receptionist/gopher when I was unemployed as well as sessions signing on; probably the lowest point I've ever been but I kept going and didn't consider it to be De Montfort's fault.

Thankfully (and rather jammyilly) I have never been unemployed for a gap. These are the famous last words in the middle of a recession!

A couple in the Metro have reported paying £88,000 back on a £500 loan. How crazy are these people?! Where the fcuk did they suddenly get £88k from if they needed to borrow £500?! There are some very strange people out there - the article was written as though 'poor them'. Surely if they are being intimidated that is what the police is for. . . .
