Knowsley Hall Music Festival is on this weekend and Lizzie has managed to get some last minute tickets from a friend of hers. It should be good, on the two days the following are playing!

Well we were there all weekend. I have been knee deep in Mud on Sunday and wet for about two days too! It was a great time despite the rain. It was funny for a while to see some kids mud surfing but then they got a little over excited and started pulling innocent bystanders into their arena.

For me the highlight of the weekend was MADNESS! They were amazing on set and the crowd loved the songs, were singing along en-masse and bouncing around like crazies. behaviour

Second of the weekend had to be The Zutons, they were initially defensive being after Madness but the crowd got into the swing really quickly, they did some great hits and some rather unknowns but all great.

Third came Joss Stone whos interaction with the crowd as fun and her voice was amazing.

Some good bands were The Icicle Works and Keane were actually very good live. I would say that Keane were the surprise of the evening because I expected it to be whining and/or lift music. They obviously enjoyed the attention and kept a thinning crowd excited. (Keane ).

Saturday suffered from a glut of The Who fans. The Who were very good (4S) but their fans were dampening the atmosphere for the other bands by refusing to clap and get involved in the process. I was amazed at how many The Who songs I knew.

All the above suffering from a lack of interaction with the crowd and showing an obvious bitterness about the number of Who fans!

For me the whole of festival was behaviour!!!

The bands were great, the mud was actually quite fun (the chance to stomp around in muddy puddles was excellent fun) and the overall festival experience was a must do !! I am still on a real high today, and the fact I've had about 5 hours sleep doesn't seem to have affected me at all today.

The only down points were the loos which were gross - luckily we wrangled access to the VIP loos on staurday, and weren't drinking very much on sunday so this made the toilet problems less of an issue !!

It was okay for all those who managed to borrow wellies! I don't think that I am likely to want to do it in Walking Boots again. The boot are still drying out today!

What about those who tried to cope in stilletoes and hot pants ??- count yourself lucky Mike !! Interesting choice of outfit for a festival !!

Personally I found the hot pants rather amusing. . . . maybe I should not have admitted that. I liked the women in full length dresses and high heels, they were the ones delicately stepping through the mud with a disdainful look on their faces. It WAS amazingly funny at the time, now I just feel cruel.

That would have so have been me...

Trying desperately not to fall on my arse and still doing it anyway!
