Oceans 13

This is the third in the Oceans trilogy of Casino robbing capers. I don't think it was a good plot with very poor explanation of the heist / con and not very coherent.
All in all I was disappointed and would only rate
On the plus side, Transformers, Shrek and a ream of other great films are looking ace on the big screen! :D

It was possibly missing some tension and drama, because the viewer never really doubts they can pull it off: it's made to look far too easy. Mostly entertaining, however, and it's a nice feelgood film. A visual treat for the women-folk, and I could hear Claire giggling with delight at some of the catty one-liners.
Also, ditto on the good films due out later on this year.

I agree with you mr_e, it wasn't a high-brow heist movie and nor was it particularly tense, but it was like Ronseal...did what it said it would do on the tin.
It was a couple of hours of beautifully filmed silliness...perfect for a thursday night in the flicks.
I'll give it a

rating.

The only bits of entertainment were the obvious quotes from 'The Godfather' the most interesting one was 'What I want; What's most important to me"
Any kudos for people who can place the quote to the scene! :D

Easy, my favourite scene in the movie!
Michael Corleone, Sollozzo and the Police Inspector (Maclusky) are having a meal / meeting in a little Italian restaurant to clear things up after Sollozzo has had Don Corleone shot outside his office and Maclusky has pistol whipped Michael. The scene ends with Michael retrieving the gun from the back of the toilet cistern, shooting both men and then fleeing to Sicily.
Is that enough info? ;)

Hmmm...no sarcastic kudos on this post, Al. how does it feel?
I thought the movie was great. Any film that has several set piece shots of George Clooney (you've either got it, or you ain't), Brad Pitt (Rusty is his only character i fancy) and Matt Damon (mmmm, not so much) is fine by me; all that expensive tailoring........focus, Claire, focus. Me, Liz and Christine seemed to find the film absolutely hilarious but noone else really did. i don't know, good film, charismatic performances. Ocean's 11: slick, Ocean's 12: shtick, Ocean's 13 just plain good. i say:

Well, I chuckled to myself, as some of the one-liners were great, but I think we'll have to adjust any ratings from female audience members downwards to take into account the dual Clooney-Pitt (plus well-cut suits) visual and aural seduction factor. If we call it the "Clooney-Pitt index" it almost sounds scientific as well...
