One housewife, Suad Hassan, 30, claimed she had been attacked by one of the badgers as she slept.

"My husband hurried to shoot it but it was as swift as a deer," she said. "It is the size of a dog but his head is like a monkey," she told AFP.

I think she was talking about her husband there. I like the fact that the British Commander had to actually say, "We can categorically state that we have not released man-eating badgers into the area" I bet they had fun with that in the mess tent later! :D

I love Mrs Hassan's description of the badger, delightfully naive. I think she's lying about them being as swift as deer though.

When the British forces start terrorising the enemy caves with badgers, we'll know where they got the idea from.
