The Wickerman (2006)

This is a remake of 'The Wickerman' of ages past. The story revolves around a US State Trooper who gets a mysterious letter from his ex begging for his aid to locate her daughter. He dutifully arrives on the isolated commune island and begins to interrogate the local population which serves no purpose but to deepen the mystery.

All in all a disappointing story, disappointing ending and a poor performance from Nicholas Cage!

another installment in the long list of awful remakes of ace british films that should be left well alone. if hollywood cant come up with something original, why the hell does it keep tainting the past with these pointless, soulless, talentless follies? is money really that important?

It just goes to show you can have a talented actor but a rubbish script will make it a shit in shit out sort of equation!
