First impression is that it renders webpages much faster than its predecessor. I have now been able to surf the internet at normal speeds despite being on an ancient 512mb connection. . . .

Guiness Book of World Records has entered Firefox 3 as the most downloads in a single day ever. Cool. It still only has a 2.31% share of the market though!

Here are the stats.
Internet Explorer 7 - 46.45%
Internet Explorer 6 - 26.38% (come on people, patch your unsecure, memory sucking outdated software please)
Firefox 3 - 2.31%
Firefox 2 - 16.13%
Safari 3- 4.28%

Now I may be mistaken but this does not add up to 100. . . . this leaves 4.45% unaccounted for. I can only assume that 0.01% is on Safari 4, about 2% are on Safari 2 and the rest must be Opera - are there any others?

This is a truly awesome plugin for FireFox...PicLens. It basically turns sites like Amazon and Flickr into one big Apple CoverFlow screen!

It's a 2Mb download and probably only works well on a fast connection (not for Mike at work then!), but is definitely worth having a play with!

I feel cut to the bone with that remark. . . . you are mocking my afflictions as an Work Internet Pov. Actually, the more I think about it, they are in Digital Poverty at that place, nothing works!

Some people still appear to be using Netscape / Mozilla / IE5. It beggars belief, but it might be faulty browser detection, at least in part. I hope.

Nope, some people really are using crappy old browsers! We recently did a project for another company that were using IE 5...they keep complaining that their pages (some crappy affiliate stuff) don't look like the mock-ups they sent to us...yes they do, on the new browsers...on IE 5 they work, but look a little odd (more vertical than horizontal!)! Can't please everyone, all of the time!

Firefox Users are way ahead of the update curve. They lead the way with over 80% of users using the most up to date version of their software on any given day. Lets not forget that the more up to date the software is, the more secure.

Over 60% of safari users are up to date and 46% of IE users are up to date.
