Elizabeth: The Golden Age

Post by Lizzie »

This film follows on from the original film 'Elizabeth', and all the main parts are reprised by the same actors.

I loved this film, the cinematography and the custumes were beautiful and the acting was amazing. My only comment wpi;d be that the plot did seem to loose it's way a bit at times and in my opinion there wasn't enough emphasis on some of the more interesting story lines (for example, Mary Queen of Scots, and the Catholic Assasination attempts) in favour of the less interesting love story between Sir Walter Raleigh and a Lady in Waiting.

This was a entertaining historical film - not bad but not my favourite genre by any means. Quite a lot of style and little content.
