Have read the book and now I saw the film. It was strange to say the least and good comparison to the book as the story was pretty much faithful to the book. The film is about a man who is born with an amazing sense of smell, his life and those involved with him are filled with sinister co-incidences. These start at birth as he condemn his mother to death for leaving him for dead (fair really - she was hoping to kill him off!)
