Hiya all

Let me know what your thoughts on phpBB3 are and if you have any problems. Thanks!

PS. Please can you upload your user avatars again! It was a lesson learned on how to update the forums properly - in the unlikely event I have to do this again I will promise to take things across better!

I have updated the old forum structure to redirect to the new forums! I hope this will make it clear for anyone who has bookmarked the older forums.

I access these forums through your main page, but you haven't updated the link from that yet either. *hint*

Is there any way to have the avatars on the left? If not, I'll most likely get over it pretty quickly (either that or be scarred for life). Whilst we're at it, any chance of some half-star increments on the ratings as well? Heh. I can make some absolutely splendid ones if you like.

The main page has been updated you will need to 'force refresh' the page from your browser. It will then check the files with the server and re-download them rather than using the cache.

I don't know about moving the avatars etc to the right. I don't think I will be able to but will check!

Force refresh isn't updating the link in either Firefox or IE. I wouldn't worry too much, it's not a major issue anyways.

Well the link has been updated! I can attest to that because I do not link directly to the forums I go through the main page . . . . oh and because the link was updated yesterday morning! It will honestly update in a couple of days when the page randomly checks against the information contained on the server. :P

I will be returning the smilies to the correct folder tonight which will hopefully restore all those little happy faces we like putting in messages. I am hoping I remember how to do it correctly!

Still not working for me, after forced refreshes both on my parent's PC and my own PC. When do these supposed "random checks" happen again?

I don't mean to be silly here but you do not seem to be force refreshing. Hold Control and the hit the refresh key. It should literally take several seconds to reload all the images again (ie slower than usual) as it rechecks the information on the website hosting. I can guarantee that the link is correct!

Okay, just realised...you've only updated two of the three links to the forums from the main page. The one under "New website" is the one I always click on, and coincidentally that is the only one not updated with the new link. We were both wrong/right in equal measure there!

I stand corrected! Apologies, I will look to update that one asap! :-D

I have updated that link now and also the colour of one part of the top of the main page which sometimes appears slightly different blue when compared with the rest of the header. Sorry for the confusion! :-)
