you can't replace a windscreen on a car if its been raining...ever! It rained this morning and the guy supposed to be fitting a new windscreen cancelled- despite not being due till between 1&5pm! Guess what, its 2pm and stopped raining half an hour ago! But he won't come back due to "residual moisture!" So I'll have to put up with a crack in my windscreen till tuesday, and hope its OK during the drive to Cannock! He seemed to think (after taking a look, that it'd be fine and isn't a safety risk, but its a pain in the bum).

Sometimes eBay buyers can be very annoying. "I tried to pay but found I hadn't enough room on my credit card" "I tried to pay but it was difficult" "I've decided not to buy after all"

Ah well, if life was easy we could all do it. We can? Oh.

Bummer on both accounts! :-(

I learned that it is quite fun to watch colleagues put hair clips from Christmas crackers on others in sneaky a manner!

On friday I learnt that Nathan the graphic designer at work is in a band and that they are called Black Manalishi. Today he gave me one of their albums and I learnt they are pretty good (I actually really like what I have heard). There are a few tracks available on their website too..

http://www.blackmanalishi.com

Enjoy and I will keep my ears to the ground for their next gig date.

Black Manalishi seem pretty good from the one track I heard. Decent bluesy/rock sound.

I learned that one of the previous owners of our house actually sanded the skirting in the front bedroom (soon to be nursery) and then put a really horrible fake stain over them to make it look like hardwood. . . so now I will have to heat gun off the paint and then sand them down too. I am hoping that I can get a skirting sanding machine because otherwise I will be working at it for about 20 years. . . .

The heat gunning is the fun bit. The sanding not so much.

I also learned (on a test bit of skirting) that my Head Gun christmas pressie works very well!

Irony has a sense of humour and pride cones before a fall. Today I said I rarely get ill enough to take time of work and had to leave early because I felt nausia rising!

Adding to the Irony, until today I could not remember the last time I was genuinely physically ill, until earlier. Two good starts to 2009, LOL! Feel massively better now though, only the aches and chills to get rid off now. Hope tomorrow I feel well enough to go into work.

Perhaps a petition for them to release a Guantanamo Bay set in, er... honour of Barack Obama's inauguration is in order?

If you write a good enough complaint letter to Richard Branson, he may just decide to personally phone you. It's a quality complaint letter as well.
