a cute monkey brought to a small american town by mistake aboard a transport tanker carries with it an african virus that kills its victims within twenty-four hours by turning human organs to a sloppy mush. will maverick military doctor dustin hoffman be able to save the day with his sidekick cuba gooding junior by discovering an antidote, appealing to morally torn general morgan freeman and stop donald suthering bombing the town into oblivion? this isnt the b-movie no brainer that plot anaylsis might suggest, although even in these anti-war times it seems a stretch to believe the us military would willingly resort to chemical warfare and dump the bomb on its own soil.
