Stockport Snow!

It has snowed in Stockport. Let me know if it has snowed near you so we can find out how wide spread it is! I was very excited by the snow. It will be fun to see if the loft insulation is comprehensively fitted (ie by how quickly the snow melts compared with our neighbours!)

ha ha ha! you're such a geek!
Good idea tho!
It snowed in Didsbury too... hardly surprising tho' as its only a couple of miles away. It also snowed in Dundee and Edinburgh (but only light showers).

It snowed in Brum on Saturday and we woke in Cannock to find a thin covering on Sunday morning...it had gone by about 9am though. Me and the folks had a drive out to Nantwich for Easter Sunday lunch and you could clearly see a decent amount of snow on the Penines.

Well, not much snow in Penrith itself, although there was some lying on Sunday morning which subsequently melted pretty quickly. Not surprisingly, both the Pennines and Blencathra (Saddleback) were covered in snow all the time I was up there. Even less surprisingly, the mountain rescue team were called out to go fetch some walkers trapped on Sca Fell by the snow drifts.

We were out walking in the snow today, it was COLD but very nice. Especially since our exercise was topped off with a nice steak and ale and Guinness pie. Unfortunately I also had a pint of Black Sheep and now have an evening headache. I suspect that is a cold inspired mini hang over. I hope that lots of water will knock it on the head before I go to bed!

We were at New Brighton (very cold but nice, fish and chip lunch in the Seaside Cafe!) and then at Birkenhead Priory. A smattering of snow for about five minutes.

Lyme park was beautiful in the driving snow. Although it was weird to go from snow to sunshine in the space of 5 minutes.

a limited amount of the white stuff fell in our neighbourhood yesterday afternoon, im assuming it was snow although i suppose a cocaine shipment from a crashing drug cartel plane could have been to blame. i dont like gardening at the best of times but being moaned at until i agreed to help lay the new patio in a snow / sleet storm is not my idea of fun

It sounds like an extreme sport! Flag laying in sleet, i see a new Olympic sport in the offering there.
