Spain Unemployment hits 20%. I guess this will lead to concerns regarding the health of their finances. If the Euro starts to sink under its mountain of debt then it would be a global disaster that makes last years look like a party.

Driver reverses through a wall that is 7 storeys up! Eek.

Long-lost grandmother who should know better.

To add to Spain's woes that other article also mentions their debt's been downgraded. Makes it way more difficult for them.

Gotta love pensioners. A 77 year old man holds up traffic in his village by ensuring that a pelican crossing is in constant use for an hour. Clever.

Being dead is clearly no excuse.

The Government can think of extending that to collecting Council Tax from the buried, to cover the rent that the council could get from the piece of earth they occupy....

I think you can get your ashes made into fireworks and all sorts of inventive stuff now. Possibly artificial diamond as well.

Slightly late, but the BNP show us what campaigning is really all about. Prescott wishes he was this classy.

I think that should be sufficient evidence to prove assault. ;-)

Spitting is also considered assault, I believe, but the response was disproportionate. Hell, both groups were as bad as each other there.

Not sure if this belongs more in the general election thread, but somewhat inevitable breaking news on Gordo

Remember that guy who apparently hadn't eaten for seventy years? He's back in the news after those observations were completed. Damn.

That is impressive, I guess that is why my waist line is expanding - I am obviously absorbing cosmic radiation as well as eating a full three meals a day.

North Korea / South Korea tensions rise. If the go to war with the US and China backing different sides we could be in for an interesting time. Who would keep supplying our iPhones and Apple Macs! I say we need to keep the peace and understand the reall issue here!

5 Piccaso Paintings Stolen in Paris. This must have been to order. Who else would go to the trouble?

Home Information Packs scrapped. Doh, just spent £200 on a HiP pack. At least the consolation prize is that the Law still needs to be changed to scrap the pack. So it would have delayed putting the house on the market of a good few weeks. Shame about the cash though, there are much better things I could have spent the money on.
