BBC iPlayer available on Wii

This BBC Blog has announced that the BBC are planning to release an iPlayer through the Wii internet channel and eventually release a free stand alone player. For those without apple tv it is going to be a great way to get the old tv shows onto your television.

We were watching the latest episode of Doctor Who on the Opera powered Wii Internet Channel. It was very good and even over the wireless connection was smooth and easy to watch. I also watched the latest episode of My Family but that is so much less cool!
